While connected to this site, I prompted Claude Desktop with the following:
Can you create a summary blog post with highlights from posts made in July 2025?
Here’s what it came up with:
What a month July 2025 turned out to be! From epic road trips to technological breakthroughs, from family adventures to culinary discoveries, this month was packed with memorable moments worth celebrating. Here are the highlights from our photographic journey.
Epic East Coast Road Trip
The month was dominated by an incredible 2,850-mile East Coast adventure that took us to some amazing destinations. We hit the road and explored:
- Hershey, PA – Sweet beginnings to our journey
- Boston, MA – Including an unforgettable Red Sox game at Fenway Park
- Cape Cod – Beach days and quiet coastal charm
- Bar Harbor, ME – Maine’s coastal gem with lighthouse visits
- New Jersey – A special stop that every Severance fan dreams of
Family Adventures
Blueberry Season
Nothing says summer like fresh blueberries! We had multiple posts celebrating nature’s candy – from Ella and Paige picking blueberries from Max and Betty’s bountiful 2025 harvest to grabbing handfuls straight off Nana and Granddaddy’s bushes. The photos captured those perfect summer moments of fresh-picked berries following evening rain showers.
Student Driver Milestone
A big moment this month – Ella took her first driving lesson, taking dad out for a drive. These milestone moments remind us how quickly kids grow up.
Beach Days and Sand Castles
At Seagull Beach in Yarmouth, MA, we spent hours building an elaborate drip sand castle that became quite the attraction. Strangers stopped to admire the work, leading to wonderful conversations – including meeting fellow Tennessee Vols fans from Rochester! We also enjoyed a relaxing dinner by the pool in Cape Cod with hydrangeas everywhere and yummy pizza – definitely the quietest beach we’ve ever been to.
Culinary Discoveries
MDI Ice Cream in Bar Harbor
We stumbled upon what turned out to be a world-famous ice cream shop without even knowing its reputation. Making flavors in small 5-gallon batches, we enjoyed Maine Sweet Cream, Butterbeer, Coffee Oreo, and Cookies & Sweet Cream – and it lived up to every bit of hype.
Bit Burger – 80s Retro Heaven
When we were in the mood for burgers, we discovered this amazing 80s-themed restaurant with free video games, toys from childhood, comic books, and movie posters. Playing Rampage and Ms. Pac-Man while waiting for our food felt like being transported back in time.
The Piccadilly Cafe
A delightful breakfast spot in Yarmouth, MA that’s been a local staple for over forty years – proof that sometimes the best discoveries are the local gems.
Unforgettable Experiences
Lunch at “Lumon HQ”
Every Severance superfan’s dream came true when we visited Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ – the actual filming location for Lumon Industries headquarters. The brutalist architecture was just as creepy in person, and we checked every corner for giant murals of Kier! We even learned about the tiles and the tubes that went into the building’s design, and I got my own personal wellness session inspired by the experience.
Red Sox Victory at Fenway
An incredible baseball experience watching Boston rally from a 1-0 deficit to win 4-3 in the seventh inning. We sang “Sweet Caroline,” enjoyed ballpark food (with a friendly concessions guy giving Beth discounts for her accent), and yes – there was that one Tennessee fan in orange among all the Red Sox faithful.
Bass Harbor Lighthouse
We scrambled down the rocks to capture the iconic lighthouse on Mount Desert Island – the only lighthouse in Acadia National Park. While it’s been photographed thousands of times, getting your own postcard-worthy shot never gets old. We also had a lighthouse visit where we scrambled down on the rocks to take in those stunning views.
Bar Island Adventure
A unique hiking experience where we literally walked on water – well, a sand bar exposed during low tide that gave us access to Bar Island. The workout map looked like we were walking on water, which was pretty cool!
Technological Milestone
WordPress + MCP Collaboration
The month ended with an exciting first – a collaborative blog post created through Model Context Protocol (MCP). This represented a fascinating intersection of human creativity and AI assistance, showing the future of content creation while maintaining the authentic voice that makes photography blogs special.
Home Sweet Home
After all the adventures, there’s nothing quite like getting back home and washing your new mug for a little “breakfast for dinner” – sometimes the simple moments are just as meaningful as the grand adventures. We also had some afternoon visitors – James and Christopher joined us for lunch, making home even sweeter.
The Perfect Summer Storm
Even at home, we found photographic inspiration in the interplay of light and rain on our screened porch after a downpour – proof that great shots can happen anywhere when you keep your eyes open.
Looking Back
July 2025 was a month that perfectly captured the essence of summer – family time, exploration, discovery, good food, and those spontaneous moments that make the best memories. From the rocky coast of Maine to the familiar comfort of home, every frame told a story worth preserving.
Whether it was the kids picking blueberries, exploring famous filming locations, cheering at Fenway Park, or simply enjoying ice cream after a day at the beach, this month reminded us that the best adventures often combine planning with spontaneity, and that the camera is just a tool for capturing what the heart already sees.
