Tonight my book club met to discuss Candace Millard’s River of Doubt which tells the story of Teddy Roosevelt’s expedition down the Amazonian tributary of the same name. Prior to that, we read her book Destiny of the Republic which tells the story of President McKinnley’s assassination. Both books were riveting historical accounts.
